A community of 108,000 deserves recovery that respects family life.
Highlands Ranch is one of Colorado’s largest master-planned communities — predominantly families, predominantly working professionals, and like every Front Range suburb, not immune to the alcohol and opioid use disorders the region has seen rise over the past decade. We see clients from Highlands Ranch every week, often discovered through the most painful kind of family crisis.
We’re about 21 miles northeast via C-470 → E-470 — a 30 to 35 minute drive depending on time of day.
Why Highlands Ranch families come to Paramount
Distance from the local medical community. For many Highlands Ranch families, getting treatment outside Douglas County is critical for privacy — running into a teacher, a neighbor, or a colleague in a local lobby would be devastating. Paramount provides that distance without making family visits an all-day affair.
Family-first scheduling. Multi-family groups happen on Sundays. Partner and parent sessions are scheduled evenings to fit working-parent schedules. Family education programming is free and built into every level of care.
Commercial insurance through Tech Center, DTC, and Lockheed. Most Highlands Ranch residents have strong commercial coverage through Aetna, BCBS, Anthem, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, or Kaiser. We’re in-network with most. Verification takes about a minute.
IOP that fits a Highlands Ranch commute. Our evening IOP track (typically 6–9 pm, three days per week) is built specifically for clients who need to keep working and parenting through treatment. Most Highlands Ranch clients use this track once they’ve completed residential.
Programs Highlands Ranch clients use most
Residential into IOP, then outpatient with telehealth. The most common path for severe alcohol or opioid use disorder: 30 to 40 days residential at our Aurora facility, then IOP step-down for 45 to 90 days, then weekly outpatient with telehealth available for ongoing maintenance.
IOP from the start for working parents. When residential isn’t required, IOP three or five evenings per week lets clients maintain work, school pickup, and home structure while getting full clinical intensity.
Adolescent referrals. While Paramount specializes in adult treatment, we work closely with adolescent providers in the South Metro and can refer families with teen clients to vetted programs that are the right fit. The “even if it’s not us” promise extends to family members as well.
